Bloodborne Mod Keeps Five Hunters Together on PC

A new mod lets up to five hunters stay together through deaths and boss fights, while shared world progress remains optional. BBSC supports shadPS4 and the BBport Windows build.

In Bloodborne's original multiplayer, summoned allies are sent home when a boss falls or a stage ends. BBSC, an unofficial mod for shadPS4, keeps a co-op group together through those transitions. Bloodborne was released for PlayStation 4 and has no native Windows version, so PC players have used the PS4 emulator to run it. The mod requires players to supply their own game files and is not an official release from FromSoftware or Sony.

One player hosts while four others join, each with their own character. Guests follow the host between areas and lamps, and respawn with the group after a death. The party can move between areas and use lamps without breaking the session. Visits to the Hunter's Dream also leave the group intact.

That changes the rhythm of a co-op run. In the original game, allies summoned for a particular area leave after its boss is defeated. With BBSC, the group can stay together instead of repeatedly rebuilding the party.

Five players is the stated limit: one host and four guests. BBSC's feature list says enemy scaling adjusts to the number of hunters, but gives no specific figures. That description does not establish how every encounter behaves or how progression edge cases are handled.

Each player keeps their own levels and stats, along with Blood Echoes and items. Shared progression is optional. When enabled, the host's boss kills and opened shortcuts carry over to guests' worlds. Guests can receive boss rewards and enemy drops, but items already collected do not reappear.

So the group can advance together without taking over each other's character or inventory. The original co-op structure sends summoned players back to their own worlds when a stage ends or its boss falls; BBSC can instead link guests' world progress to the host's.

The mod also provides a co-op kit that does not require Insight. It includes Hunt Bell and Kin Bell, plus Bloodlust Bell and Parting Blank. Duel Bell completes the kit and provides a PvP toggle. Custom co-op messages replace the vanilla beckoner and resonance lines, giving players different ways to start and manage a session.

BBSC lists support for shadPS4 and the BBport Windows build, with public servers or self-hosted play. Self-hosting options include Radmin VPN and Tailscale, as well as LAN and a VPS. Split-screen play is listed through Nucleus Co-op. The project's first version is available on GitHub, according to the supplied information. Documentation for the related Bloodborne PC setup specifies game version 1.09 and the original PS4 release identifier CUSA03173. The Windows build's experimental online features use shadNet; players need matching game versions and must connect to the same co-op server.

The mod arrives amid other community work on Bloodborne for PC. An earlier path-tracing experiment paired RTX Remix with shadPS4 to test visual changes, but its creators presented it as an early experiment, not a finished mod. BBSC focuses on persistent multiplayer rather than graphics.

Neither project makes Bloodborne an official PC release or a remake. The feature list does not independently prove that BBSC is stable or that its difficulty is balanced. It also does not describe a remake-level overhaul. The supplied material says FromSoftware is not interested at this time in remaking the game or letting another party handle it.
