Our History

Next-Gen Gaming Blog was founded in 2011 and developed within the UK gaming-blog scene, covering games, platforms, releases and the wider player experience.

Its history includes connections with WENB, Winning Eleven Blog, Kitana Media Network and the later Next Gen Base identity as the publication and its surrounding gaming-media projects evolved.

In 2026, NGB was relaunched under a new editorial team as the next stage in the development of the existing publication. The relaunch retained the site’s established history, brand and core gaming direction while introducing an updated editorial structure, expanded topic coverage and clearer publishing standards.

NGB therefore retains 2011 as its founding year. The 2026 relaunch marks the beginning of the current editorial stage and does not imply that today’s team or ownership held the same roles throughout the site’s earlier history.
