Next-Gen Gaming Blog accepts selected advertising relevant to games, gaming platforms, gaming services, events and gaming hardware.
This page explains the types of advertising NGB may consider, the categories we reject and the separation between commercial activity and independent editorial work.
About the NGB Audience
NGB serves English-speaking readers in the United Kingdom, the United States and the wider international gaming audience.
Our readers may include:
- PC and console players;
- readers following upcoming releases;
- players interested in technical performance;
- Early Access and playtesting communities;
- readers comparing games, platforms and gaming hardware;
- developers, publishers and industry observers.
NGB does not publish unverified audience or traffic figures. Current campaign information should be requested directly rather than inferred from this page.
Advertising relevance is considered in relation to the publication’s gaming focus, not only the general size or popularity of a product category.
Advertising Formats
NGB may display programmatic advertising, including advertising delivered through Google AdSense or related Google advertising services.
Direct advertising proposals may also be considered, but availability, placement, approval and campaign terms are not guaranteed.
NGB does not promise:
- specific traffic volumes;
- guaranteed impressions or conversions unless contractually and technically supported;
- editorial coverage as part of an advertising purchase;
- a positive review or recommendation;
- a specific ranking position;
- search-engine results;
- exclusive visibility without a separate confirmed agreement.
Advertising availability depends on the suitability of the advertiser, the creative material, the destination and the relationship of the campaign to NGB’s audience.
Accepted Advertising Categories
Suitable categories may include:
- video games for PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo;

- CPUs and GPUs;
- RAM, storage and cooling relevant to gaming;

Approval depends on the specific product, destination, claims, creative material and relevance to NGB readers. Inclusion in an accepted category does not guarantee that every advertiser or campaign in that category will be approved.
Rejected Advertising Categories
NGB may reject advertisements involving:
- illegal goods or services;
- malware, spyware or deceptive downloads;
- counterfeit products;
- piracy services;
- cheats, hacks or account-selling services;
- gambling, betting or casinos;
- cryptocurrency or high-risk financial products;
- political advertising;
- weapons or military products;
- tobacco or vaping products;
- recreational drugs;
- adult content or dating services;
- hate, extremism or discriminatory content;
- unsupported medical, legal or financial claims;
- fake giveaways;
- fake reviews or testimonials;
- impersonation or misleading branding;
- unrelated lifestyle products;
- films or television without a direct gaming connection;
- general entertainment unrelated to gaming;
- general electronics without a meaningful gaming purpose.
NGB may also reject material that falls within an otherwise acceptable category when the specific campaign is misleading, unsafe, irrelevant or inconsistent with reader trust.
Creative and Landing-Page Standards
Advertising material should not:
- misrepresent a product or price;
- imitate NGB editorial content in a deceptive way;
- use false urgency or fake system warnings;
- hide significant conditions;
- lead to malicious, misleading or unrelated destinations;
- make unsupported performance, medical, legal or financial claims;
- claim an NGB endorsement that has not been granted.
NGB may reject or request changes to creative material that creates confusion, harms reader trust or conflicts with the publication’s editorial focus.
The destination page should be consistent with the advertisement. An apparently relevant gaming advertisement should not redirect readers to an unrelated or prohibited product.
Programmatic Advertising
Some advertisements may be selected and delivered automatically by an advertising platform.
The appearance of a programmatic advertisement does not necessarily mean that:
- NGB has a direct contract with the advertiser;
- NGB endorses the advertised product;
- NGB has reviewed the product;
- the advertisement relates to the surrounding article;
- the advertiser influenced the article.
Readers may report misleading, unsafe or inappropriate advertisements to the advertising contact address. A useful report should identify the page and advertisement clearly enough to support review.
Editorial Independence
Commercial relationships do not determine independent editorial conclusions.
Advertisers cannot purchase:
- positive coverage;
- favourable review scores;
- an editorial recommendation;
- a higher ranking position;
- the removal of legitimate criticism;
- control over editorial updates or corrections.
Paid visibility does not determine editorial ranking position.
Advertising and editorial work may address the same game, platform or company, but the commercial relationship does not provide control over the independent article.
Sponsored Content
NGB does not currently publish sponsored articles or partner content as a regular commercial format.
If such formats are introduced, they must be labelled clearly and governed by the Sponsored Content Policy.
A commercial proposal should not be described as an independent review or ordinary editorial recommendation.
Affiliate Links
NGB does not currently operate an affiliate-link programme.
Advertisers should not describe ordinary NGB links as affiliate endorsements unless an actual disclosed arrangement exists.
