Visual Novel

3 stories
Visual novels organise play around written scenes, character relationships and choices that may redirect the story towards different routes or endings. Static or lightly animated artwork, voice performances, music and interface design carry much of the presentation, while investigative or puzzle systems can add structure without replacing the text-led core.

This tag distinguishes the form from broader narrative adventures and from role-playing games that merely contain extensive dialogue. Coverage can examine route construction, localisation, pacing, character development, content warnings, save and skip functions, platform editions and how effectively each release gives meaningful context to its decisions.
