Bandai Namco has shown more of Roger Jr. after EVO France 2026. Season 3 Character Pass holders get him on 11 November, ahead of the wider release on 16 November.
At EVO France on 11 October 2026, Bandai Namco used the tournament stage to show Roger Jr. in action and reveal part of Yujiro Hanma's in-game model.
The publisher confirmed that Roger Jr. joins TEKKEN 8 Season 3 on 11 November for Season 3 Character Pass holders. Everyone else gets access on 16 November. The revised schedule replaces the earlier dates of 12 and 17 November.
Roger Jr. Enters
Roger Jr. fights through Commando Wrestling rather than a conventional martial-arts moveset. His attacks lean into pro-wrestling throws, keeping the character focused on close-range pressure and punishing grapples.
The trailer also shows Roger Jr. attacking alongside his mother. Acrobatic techniques built around kangaroo-style jumps round out the presentation.
He is the first playable character in the series to return after appearing in Tekken Tag Tournament 2.
Bandai Namco Studios Inc. has positioned Roger Jr. as the third playable character in TEKKEN 8 Season 3. Kunimitsu arrived in June, followed by Bob in August.
His combat system includes the Astronauts stance and Rocket Stance. The Bobbin Dance stance adds another way to change his tempo and pressure an opponent.
The character also arrives with a story built around a manhunt.
A Family Manhunt
Roger Jr. becomes entangled in the destruction of a G Corporation building after being wrongly framed. The incident follows a family crisis involving his unfaithful father.
Roger Jr. and his mother pursue those responsible while targeting the head of G Corporation. Her role carries into the newly shown gameplay, rather than staying confined to the story material.
TEKKEN 8 remains available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The PC version is sold through Steam.
According to Bandai Namco's updated schedule, Season 3 Character Pass holders receive Roger Jr. on 11 November. The broader player base gets him on 16 November.
The Season 3 Pass includes four additional characters and costs $34.99. IGN reports that individual seasonal passes cost $30.
NGB has also covered another live update built around a defined anniversary rollout rather than a new standalone release.
Yujiro On The Horizon
Roger Jr. is not the final Season 3 addition. Yujiro Hanma from Baki the Grappler is the fourth announced fighter.
Bandai Namco showed a fragment of Yujiro's in-game model at EVO France. His gameplay has not been revealed. A full trailer is scheduled for the TEKKEN WORLD TOUR Finals on 17 January 2027.
Roger Jr. has a release date and demonstrated gameplay. Yujiro Hanma currently has an in-game appearance reveal and a future trailer date. Bandai Namco has not supplied a release date for Yujiro, so his launch timing remains unconfirmed.
The Roger Jr. presentation took place before the final part of TEKKEN 8 at EVO France. The event linked the game's active tournament scene with its next playable addition and provided the first look at Yujiro's model.
Reports from Gematsu and Anime News Network also identify the split schedule, with early access on 11 November and general release on 16 November.
Season Pass 3 has a defined sequence of additions. Kunimitsu arrived in June. Bob followed in August. Roger Jr. is the third character, while Yujiro Hanma is the fourth announced addition.
Commando Wrestling makes Roger Jr. a fit for players who want throws at the centre of their game plan. His competitive value will be established only after players can use him in live matches.
The revealed Astronauts stance and Rocket Stance show that his pressure game will involve stance changes alongside grapples. Bobbin Dance adds another stance option. No balance or tournament-performance claim has been made.
In practice, the Season 3 schedule defines access rather than performance. Early access for pass holders begins on 11 November, five days before Roger Jr. reaches all players on 16 November.
No frame-rate or balance results have been supplied. The reveal confirms Roger Jr.'s tools and timing, but it does not establish how he will affect the wider roster.
