Tekken 8's Reina Joins Fatal Fury in December

SNK will add TEKKEN 8's Reina to FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves in December 2026. The crossover closes Season Pass 3, though SNK still has not named an exact launch date.

SNK's October 10 announcement leaves one key detail open: Reina has a December 2026 release window, but no standalone launch date.

The Bandai Namco Entertainment crossover brings the TEKKEN 8 fighter into FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves Season Pass 3. SNK says her aggressive attacks have been adapted around the game's REV System. The company's official Chinese-language press release identifies her as the season's sixth DLC character.

Reina Enters South Town

Reina's arrival carries more weight than a brief promotional appearance.

She debuted only recently in TEKKEN 8 and has already built a worldwide player following. Her public persona remains cheerful, while her strength and ruthless edge surface in battle. That contrast carries into the crossover.

In City of the Wolves, Reina wanders into South Town and enters King of Fighters out of curiosity. Her background stays deliberately thin. She attends Mishima Polytechnical School, but her wider intentions remain undisclosed. That leaves the mystery around her TEKKEN 8 identity intact.

Kate Clarke provides Reina's English voice. Asami Seto voices her in Japanese. SNK gives the fighter the in-game title "The Purple Lightning." Twisted Voxel also reported the voice-cast details, while SNK's official announcement remains the primary confirmation of the character and her December window.

Season Pass 3 Takes Shape

Reina closes a Season 3 roster marketed as seven fighters under the tagline "Destined for Revenge." SNK calls her the sixth DLC character. The season's stated structure includes three Fatal Fury characters. It also includes two Tokyo Revengers characters. Laocorn and Reina complete the announced lineup.

Rick Strowd has already been released. Duck King has already been released. Kim Kaphwan has already been released. Mikey and Draken from Tokyo Revengers arrive together on October 22, 2026. Laocorn from Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture is scheduled for November. Reina follows in December.

The franchise exchange has history. Geese Howard appeared in TEKKEN 7, and Reina now moves in the opposite direction into SNK's latest Fatal Fury release. IGN placed the announcement within City of the Wolves' wider guest roster, which includes Chun-Li from Street Fighter and Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star. Seasonal crossovers elsewhere in fighting games have also used familiar characters to refresh live competitive rosters.

SNK has described the REV System integration and Reina's aggressive style. The announcement does not specify her full move list. It also leaves her frame data unconfirmed. Her balance position remains unknown, as do her stages and story interactions. SNK has not said whether TEKKEN 8-inspired cosmetic content will accompany her.

Price and Platforms

Season Pass 3 costs $19.99 / €19.99 for players who already own the base game. Nintendo Life reported the same $19.99 price with equivalent regional pricing elsewhere.

The Revenge Edition costs $49.99 / €49.99. It includes the base game and Season Pass 1. Season Pass 2 is included as well. Season Pass 3 is included too. The edition is available on PlayStation 5. It is also available on PlayStation 4. Xbox Series X|S, Steam and Epic Games Store carry it as well.

Nintendo Switch 2 has a separate digital Starter Edition priced at $29.99 / €29.99. It includes the base game and all three season passes. Pre-orders are open ahead of the platform's October 22, 2026 launch.

SNK has confirmed Reina for every announced platform. The company has not said whether each version will receive her on the same day beyond the general December 2026 window.

Existing owners can add Season Pass 3 without buying the base game again. New buyers can choose an edition that bundles earlier downloadable fighters with the base release. SNK has confirmed the commercial structure, but it has not announced a standalone price for Reina outside Season Pass 3.

A Long-Planned Return

FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves launched on April 24, 2025. That ended a 26-year gap since GAROU: MARK OF THE WOLVES arrived in 1999. SNK has continued expanding the revival through downloadable fighters and added features. Season 3 shows how the company is treating the game as an ongoing roster platform rather than a one-off return.

The season's schedule is exact. It is marketed as seven fighters. SNK labels Reina as the sixth DLC character. Mikey and Draken arrive on October 22, 2026. Laocorn is due in November. Reina follows in December. Season Pass 3 costs $19.99 / €19.99. The Revenge Edition costs $49.99 / €49.99. The Nintendo Switch 2 Starter Edition costs $29.99 / €29.99.

That timetable gives players a clear sequence of additions, but it says nothing about Reina's competitive performance. A trailer can establish a fighter's intended identity. It cannot show whether her tools are balanced or how responsive they feel in live matches. Those judgments require direct play after release, not assumptions based on her TEKKEN 8 reputation.

The REV System will determine how SNK translates Reina's speed and aggression into FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves. The company says the adaptation will use that system rather than copy her wholesale from TEKKEN 8. SNK has not announced whether every version will receive Reina on the same day.
