Reverse: 1999 Version 3.7 and 3rd Anniversary Update Arrive 13 August

Bluepoch has officially announced that Reverse: 1999 will mark its third anniversary with the release of Version 3.7, titled "On Another's Sorrow", on 13 August for PC and mobile. The update introduces new playable characters, additional gameplay modes, and a substantial set of anniversary rewards for both new and returning players. Reverse: 1999, a turn-based tactical RPG with a time-travel premise, has now reached over 19.99 million players worldwide, according to the developer.

Anniversary Update Details

The Version 3.7 update brings several headline additions. Rhiannon, a limited 6-star character described as a bird trainer living in seclusion, will be available through a time-limited banner. Players can also claim Coppélia, a 6-star character associated with the Manus Vindictae faction, for free during the event. Two further free characters, Silverwing Eagle and Matilda, are also being distributed as part of the anniversary celebrations. Ms. Stranger, a Foundation spy with the ability to overwrite her own memories, will join the roster as a 6-star character in the second phase of the update.

Alongside new characters, the update introduces new gameplay content. "Truth a Posteriori" is a resource management survival mode set in El Dorado, while "Focused Flashback" offers regularly updated challenge stages with rewards. The new chapter, "The Syndrome of Silence", expands the ongoing 'The Window to Other Worlds' storyline. Players can also expect the return of the Musae Arcade in "8-Bit Arcade Remix: Beach Battle", as well as new cosmetic garments for several established characters.

During the anniversary period, players logging in will receive a range of free rewards, including 45 Summons, a Selectable 6-Star Artifice, 10 time-limited Summons (Decatone), 25 Unilog, and additional in-game items. The update also features a fan-creation event, with prizes such as a Reverse: 1999-themed Alienware gaming laptop, cash rewards, Clear Drops, and exclusive merchandise. Rhiannon and Ms. Stranger will each be available through their own limited banners, with free Decatone pulls tied to event participation.

Reverse: 1999 remains available on PC via Steam, as well as iOS and Android devices. The update is scheduled for simultaneous release across all platforms.
