TRAILMARK Games and AMC Global Media have set 18 September 2026 for the launch of The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival on PC and consoles, with pre-orders now open and a free demo available on Steam

TRAILMARK Games and AMC Global Media have officially announced that The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival will launch on 18 September 2026. The game is scheduled for simultaneous release on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. This new single-player beat-'em-up is set within the established world of AMC's The Walking Dead, and a pre-order trailer has been published to showcase the game's combat and visual style.

Editions and Pre-Order Bonuses

Players can now pre-order The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival in two editions. The Standard Edition is priced at £16.99/€19.99 and includes the base game. The Deluxe Edition, at £24.99/€29.99, adds the Arcade Apocalypse Pack, which features bonus weapon skins, a premium Rick skin, and access to the exclusive Endless Survival mode. All pre-orders, regardless of edition, will receive the Golden Survival Pack at launch, containing seven golden weapon skins. A free demo is also available on Steam for those wishing to try the game ahead of release.

Gameplay Features and Combat

The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival is designed around responsive beat-'em-up combat, offering both melee and ranged attacks. Players will face large groups of walkers and hostile human enemies, including gangs of Saviors. The game promises multi-phase boss battles against well-known antagonists such as Negan and Simon, as well as iconic walkers like Winslow and the Well Walker. Each playable character features a unique skill tree, and the game supports multiple difficulty levels, including an optional Easy Mode for those seeking a more accessible experience.

Platform Availability and Franchise Context

The game is confirmed for all major current platforms, including the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, with no indication of platform-exclusive content or staggered release. The announcement follows a trend of established franchises expanding into new genres and platforms, as seen with other recent launches such as No More Room in Hell 2, which also targeted a broad multi-platform audience and introduced new gameplay modes. For those interested in the wider context of post-apocalyptic releases this year, a recent overview of genre entries can be found in our coverage of No More Room in Hell 2's cross-play launch.

When a game is released across multiple platforms, players often look for parity in content, performance and release timing. Simultaneous launches help ensure that no platform is left behind, but technical differences can still arise due to hardware capabilities. It is common for publishers to offer pre-order incentives and multiple editions to cater to different player preferences, but the actual value of these extras depends on how much they affect gameplay or progression. As always, a free demo provides a practical way for players to assess the experience before committing to a purchase.
