astragon Entertainment has confirmed Storage Hunter Simulator will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2026, following its PC debut. The console editions will support co-op play and offer both standard and expanded editions
astragon Entertainment has officially announced that Storage Hunter Simulator, the indie auction game that found success on PC in late 2025, will be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2026. The announcement was accompanied by a new trailer, confirming that console players will soon be able to compete in virtual storage auctions, searching for hidden valuables and building their own pawnshop empires.
Console release and editions
Storage Hunter Simulator is scheduled to arrive on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S at a price of 24.99 Euro / 24.99 USD / 20.99 GBP. In addition to the standard edition, astragon will offer a No Refunds Edition, which includes the base game and an Expansion Pass featuring several themed downloadable content packs. The No Refunds Edition will be available for 34.99 Euro / 34.99 USD / 29.99 GBP, while the Expansion Pass can also be purchased separately for 16.99 Euro / 16.99 USD / 16.99 GBP. These editions are set to launch simultaneously across both platforms.
The game's PC version launched in November 2025, and the move to consoles follows a trend of indie simulation titles expanding their reach. This mirrors recent developments in the genre, such as the announcement of Splatchinko, a cosmic pachinko roguelike, which is also targeting a broader audience with its upcoming Steam release later this year (see our coverage of Splatchinko's reveal).
Gameplay and features
Storage Hunter Simulator tasks players with bidding against AI or other players in auctions for garages, shipping containers and storage rooms, hoping to uncover valuable items among the clutter. The game features thousands of unique items to discover, with players able to consult in-game experts to identify and value their finds. As their business grows, players can invest in tools, upgrades and staff, eventually managing their own network of pawnshops across an open world divided into five districts.
Both single-player and cooperative multiplayer are supported, with up to four players able to join forces in drop-in, drop-out co-op sessions. Teams share a bank account, requiring coordination and strategy to maximise profits and avoid overspending. The game also offers customisation options for player appearance, a range of vehicles with trunk storage and fuel management, and a choice between easy and hard modes. Achievements and unlockable cosmetics provide additional progression incentives.
Technical and platform details
While the announcement trailer showcases the game's core mechanics and visual style, no specific technical targets-such as resolution or frame rate-have been confirmed for the console versions. The PC release did not include advanced features such as ray tracing or frame generation, and it remains to be seen whether the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S editions will introduce platform-specific enhancements. astragon has not yet detailed whether cross-play or cross-progression will be supported between platforms.
Players interested in the No Refunds Edition or Expansion Pass should note that all additional content will be available on both PlayStation and Xbox at launch. The publisher has not announced any physical release or pre-order bonuses at this stage. Further information, including potential technical improvements or accessibility features, is expected closer to release.
In simulation games like Storage Hunter Simulator, the distinction between standard and expanded editions often centres on access to additional downloadable content (DLC) and expansion passes. These passes typically bundle themed content packs, offering new items, locations or gameplay modes beyond the base game. For players, understanding what is included in each edition is essential to avoid duplicate purchases and to ensure access to all planned content at launch.
