Elementa has opened the limited PC beta for Silver Palace, introducing detective mechanics, a reworked combat system and expanded story content in its open-world RPG. The test is available on Windows and resets all progress at the end
Elementa has officially launched the "Dichotomy" beta for Silver Palace, its upcoming open-world fantasy RPG built on Unreal Engine 5. The beta, which is limited to Windows PC, offers players a first look at new detective gameplay, a redesigned combat system and expanded narrative content. Access is restricted to a closed beta period, with all player progress set to be wiped once the test concludes. There are no in-game purchases during this phase.
Expanded Story and Character Options
The "Dichotomy" beta introduces over 40 hours of story content, including new narrative branches and character-specific missions. For the first time, players can choose a male protagonist, allowing for both male and female detective options. The playable cast now numbers 15, with eight new characters added for this test. The city of Silvernia has been further opened up, with additional districts, secrets, and interactive elements available for exploration.
Detective Mechanics and Open World Features
This beta phase places a stronger emphasis on investigation and deduction, with detective mechanics woven into the core gameplay. Missions now feature branching paths and multiple outcomes, encouraging players to gather evidence and make choices that affect the story. Exploration is expanded, with more areas of Silvernia accessible, including new puzzles, hidden treasures and interactive city events. Horse racing has also been added as a side activity, offering a break from the main investigations and a new way to experience the city's environment.
Combat System Overhaul and Accessibility
Silver Palace's combat has been reworked for the beta, focusing on dodging, parrying, stamina management and a new stun accumulation mechanic. The changes are designed to raise the skill ceiling for players seeking a more demanding experience, but an assisted combat mode has also been introduced for those preferring a less punishing approach. Character abilities and ultimate attacks have been updated, and boss encounters now feature unique mechanics to provide fresh challenges. All combat changes are available for testing throughout the beta period.
Silver Palace blends a technologically advanced society powered by silverium with a Victorian-inspired setting, creating a world of contrasts. The game's anime-style visuals are intended to deliver a bold, fast-paced experience, while the narrative explores themes of morality, progress and the investigation into the queen's death. As with any beta, the current build is not final, and feedback from this test will inform further development ahead of full release.
Early-access betas like this allow developers to gather player feedback on new systems, balance changes and technical performance before launch. Progress resets are standard for closed betas, ensuring that all players start fresh when the game eventually releases. Players should expect further adjustments to mechanics, content and difficulty based on data and feedback collected during the test period.
