ESDigital Games reveals Gamescom 2026 line-up with new playable demos

ESDigital Games has announced its Gamescom 2026 showcase, confirming hands-on demos for Go Slimey Go!, REMEDIUM, BattleJuice Alchemist, Sky of Tides and a secret project at the Indie Arena Booth in Cologne

ESDigital Games has officially detailed its plans for Gamescom 2026, confirming a selection of upcoming PC and console titles will be playable at the event. The publisher will present four known games-Go Slimey Go!, REMEDIUM, BattleJuice Alchemist and Sky of Tides-alongside a yet-to-be-announced project, all available for hands-on sessions at the Indie Arena Booth in Hall 10.2 of Koelnmesse, Cologne. The event runs from 26 to 30 August 2026, with both public and business access, and the ESDigital Games team will also be available for meetings at their Galaktus B2B booth in Hall 4.1.

Playable Games and New Reveal

Go Slimey Go! leads the line-up as a fast-paced precision platformer focused on momentum and exploration, developed by Tembac and Chabbie Studio. The game has already received recognition as a finalist for Best Game: Latin America at gamescom latam BIG Festival 2026, and has picked up several awards including the EVA 2025 Press Award and multiple IDA 2025 accolades. Attendees will be able to try the latest build, which emphasises fluid movement and hidden secrets across colourful environments.

REMEDIUM, developed by Sobaka Studio, will also be playable. Set in a post-apocalyptic Renaissance world devastated by the Grey Plague, REMEDIUM combines twin-stick shooting with RPG progression and dark fantasy elements. The current build reflects ongoing development following its Early Access period, with visitors able to experience the latest updates and combat mechanics on the show floor.

Sky of Tides, from Lofty Sky Entertainment, offers a narrative-driven sci-fi adventure set in a universe of five fragile planets. Players follow Rin D'Lorah on a journey to reunite her family, with the game blending cinematic storytelling, player choice, exploration and light RPG systems. The Gamescom demo will allow attendees to see how decisions shape the story and interact with the development team directly.

BattleJuice Alchemist, developed by Alchemical Works, rounds out the confirmed line-up. This action RPG features isometric combat, deep alchemy mechanics and cinematic duels, with players tasked to defend the frontier from demonic threats. The latest version will be available for hands-on play, showcasing potion crafting, ritual magic and customisable abilities.

Indie Arena Booth and Secret Project

All five titles-including the unannounced project-will be accessible at the Indie Arena Booth, which has become a focal point for independent games at Gamescom. The secret game remains under wraps, with no details yet provided on its genre, developer or platforms. ESDigital Games has confirmed that this project will make its worldwide public debut at the event, but has not indicated when further information will be released.

Media, content creators and industry professionals are invited to arrange interviews, hands-on sessions and meetings with the ESDigital Games team and participating developers throughout the show. Contact details for press and business appointments have been provided, with the publisher encouraging direct engagement during Gamescom's run.

Publisher Portfolio and Platform Context

ESDigital Games' broader portfolio includes titles such as Redeemer, 9 Monkeys of Shaolin, Steel Seed, Machine Gun Fury, AWAKEN - Astral Blade, Memory Lost, Unusual Findings, Cats on Duty and Deck of Ashes. Upcoming releases beyond the Gamescom line-up include Island of Winds and further updates for REMEDIUM and BattleJuice Alchemist. The publisher offers full-cycle services for PC and console games, including funding, porting, marketing, localisation, QA and digital distribution.

All announced Gamescom titles are confirmed for PC, with console versions also planned or in development. Specific release dates for the featured games have not been disclosed as part of this announcement. The Indie Arena Booth has previously served as a launchpad for notable indie projects, and its prominence at Gamescom continues to grow, as seen with other events such as the winter showcase highlighted in recent indie-focused expos.

What Remains Unconfirmed

While ESDigital Games has outlined its Gamescom 2026 presence and confirmed hands-on access for four known titles, details about the secret project remain entirely undisclosed. No information has been provided regarding its genre, gameplay, or release window. Additionally, the publisher has not specified whether any of the featured games will receive new trailers, technical demonstrations or platform-specific announcements during the event. Attendees should expect further updates as Gamescom approaches, but for now, the focus remains on the confirmed playable builds and the promise of a new reveal.

Playable demos at major events like Gamescom offer a practical opportunity for players, media and industry professionals to experience games in a pre-release state. These builds are typically not final and may differ from the eventual retail versions in terms of content, performance and stability. Hands-on sessions at public events can provide valuable feedback to developers, but should not be treated as a guarantee of launch quality or feature completeness. The presence of a secret project at a high-profile booth also reflects the growing trend of using live events for world premieres, with publishers leveraging the attention of large audiences to generate interest ahead of formal announcements or release dates.
