Snail Games to unveil new titles and updates at Gamescom 2026

Snail Games USA has confirmed its presence at Gamescom 2026, where it will showcase Bellwright, For The Stars, Honeycomb: The World Beyond, and two unannounced projects, offering a closer look at its upcoming line-up

Snail Games USA has officially announced its participation in Gamescom 2026, set to take place in Cologne, Germany from 26 to 30 August. The publisher will present a selection of upcoming titles, including the next phase of Bellwright, For The Stars, Honeycomb: The World Beyond, and two as-yet-unannounced games. Attendees will be able to visit the consumer booth in Hall 8.1, Booth A-041 between 26 and 28 August, with a separate business lounge in Hall 3.2 for industry meetings and interviews.

Confirmed Games and New Reveals

Bellwright, developed by Donkey Crew, will be a central part of Snail Games' Gamescom line-up. The medieval open-world survival RPG has already attracted over one million players during its Steam Early Access period, and launched on PlayStation and Xbox earlier in 2026. The game focuses on settlement building, land liberation, and recruiting villagers, with a narrative that encourages players to uncover their character's past. For The Stars is set in a universe of alien worlds, where players explore, establish outposts, and adapt to hostile biomes by crafting tools and developing technology. Honeycomb: The World Beyond, from Frozen Way, offers a bioengineering experience on a planet filled with unusual flora and fauna, challenging players to crossbreed species, gather resources, and experiment to ensure humanity's survival.

In addition to these previously announced projects, Snail Games has confirmed it will debut two entirely new games at Gamescom. While details remain under wraps, the publisher has indicated that fans of martial arts games should pay particular attention to these reveals. No further information on genres, platforms, or release windows for the unannounced titles has been provided at this stage.

Gamescom Presence and Player Access

Snail Games' consumer booth will be open to the public for three days, offering hands-on opportunities and demonstrations for attendees. The business lounge will cater to press and industry professionals seeking more in-depth discussions or interviews. This approach mirrors the broader trend at Gamescom, where publishers use both public and private spaces to engage different audiences. For those interested in the wider landscape of upcoming releases, Bandai Namco's recent announcement of digital pre-orders for HELLO KITTY PARTY LAND on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, as covered in our previous report, highlights the diversity of titles set to feature at this year's event.

Snail Games has also invited content creators and collaborators to reach out for partnership opportunities, though no details have been given on specific creator programmes or influencer access during Gamescom. The publisher's stated focus remains on delivering a range of immersive experiences across genres and platforms, but no new information has been released regarding platform exclusivity, pricing, or post-launch support for the featured games.

Development Status and Remaining Questions

While Bellwright has already seen a full release on PlayStation and Xbox following its Early Access period, For The Stars and Honeycomb: The World Beyond are still in development, with no confirmed release dates or final platform lists. The two unannounced games are expected to be revealed for the first time at Gamescom, but it is not yet clear whether playable builds, trailers, or only teaser information will be available on the show floor. Snail Games has not disclosed whether any of the new titles will enter early access, nor has it provided technical details such as performance targets, resolution modes, or PC requirements.

Players and industry observers will be watching for concrete gameplay demonstrations and platform confirmations during the event. As with many Gamescom announcements, the strength of the evidence will depend on the nature of the material shown-whether it is cinematic, in-engine, or actual gameplay footage. Until further details are released, the full scope and technical ambitions of Snail Games' upcoming projects remain to be clarified.

Early access is a release model in which a game becomes available to players before its full commercial launch, often while development is ongoing. This approach allows developers to gather feedback, test features, and address technical issues in real-world conditions. However, early-access builds may lack content, stability, or performance optimisation found in final releases. Players considering early-access titles should be aware that features, balance, and technical quality can change significantly before the official launch, and that not all planned content is guaranteed to be delivered.
