The Community Challenge runs on PMG2 from 24-25 October 2026. Western European amateurs can register through 23 October for a 5v5 bracket with gift cards and merchandise at stake.

Teams will play on PMG2, a custom PUBG MOBILE map modeled on Dust II.

G2 and PUBG MOBILE have scheduled the Community Challenge for 24-25 October 2026, with registration closing the day before play begins. The event aims to bring G2 and Counter-Strike fans into PUBG MOBILE Esports through a familiar setting and competitive format.

Entry is limited to Western European amateurs aged 16 or older. Semi-professional and professional players cannot enter. Players who competed in the 2026 PUBG MOBILE Club Open (PMCO) Group Stage are also excluded.

Competitors can use a mobile phone or tablet that supports PUBG MOBILE. Sign-ups go through the official G2 Discord, which will also handle tournament coordination and publish schedules and results. The deadline is Friday, 23 October.

The roster instructions conflict. One summary allows teams of four to six players, including a substitute. The eligibility section instead specifies four or five players plus one substitute. Matches are listed as 5v5, but the announcement does not explain how a four-player registration would field a five-player side.

PMG2 recreates Dust II within PUBG MOBILE as a custom map. Matches use classic bomb-defusal rules, with five players on each side and one life per player. That setup gives the event a round-based tactical format distinct from PUBG MOBILE's familiar battle royale mode.

Teams face off in a direct attack-and-defence contest. Once eliminated, a player has no further life in that match. The announcement provides no round length or side-change rules. It also leaves unanswered how the bomb objectives work on PMG2.

The crossover sits alongside other NGB coverage of announced game plans. Plume's Q2 2027 target is a release window; G2 and PUBG MOBILE have set specific dates for this tournament.

Saturday, 24 October brings two qualifiers, one in an afternoon block and one in the evening. Each qualifier is set for 32 teams in a best-of-one, single-elimination bracket. Together, they can accommodate up to 64 teams. The top two teams from each bracket advance to Sunday's Finals.

From the semi-finals onward, matches switch to best-of-three. The semi-final winners meet in the Final, while the two losing teams play for third place. Teams reaching the Finals will receive prizes and goodies. Listed rewards for top performers include gift cards and merchandise, but organisers have provided no prize values or breakdown.

With sign-ups closing on 23 October, event information and updates will be available through the official G2 Discord.

In a single-elimination bracket, one loss ends a team's run. That leaves little room to recover from a poor result in the opening best-of-one qualifiers. The best-of-three semi-finals give the remaining teams more than one map to settle each contest, while the one-life rule makes every elimination decisive within a match.

A separate event, PUBG MOBILE Global Open (PMGO) Season 2, is scheduled for 20-25 October 2026 in Lahore, Pakistan. Inven Global reported that 32 teams will compete for a $500,000 prize pool. Group matches are set for 20-21 October, followed by the survival stage on 22 October. Finals will run on 24-25 October.

The teams are split into two groups of 16, and each plays six matches in the group stage. Those games are spread across Rondo and Erangel. Miramar is also in the map rotation.
