BOMBANANA! Brings Its Steam Breakout to Roblox

BOMBANANA!'s official Roblox adaptation has passed 16 million visits and 80,000 favourites. The milestone comes after the Steam original sold more than one million copies in ten days.

BOMBANANA! has passed 16 million visits on Roblox. The communication-focused co-op game has found a second audience just weeks after its Steam launch. The official adaptation has also collected more than 80,000 favourites. That makes the Roblox version more than a promotional extra for the PC release.

Roblox finds its audience

BOMBANANA! was not brought to Roblox as a standard port. FXFX Studio developed the adaptation with Lefto Studio and TARK Games as a product made for Roblox players and the platform's rules. The teams kept the original game's focus on teamwork, panic and comedy. They also reshaped it for a user-generated gaming platform.

That puts BOMBANANA! in a small but notable group. TARK Games calls it the first Steam-native party game to receive an official, purpose-built Roblox adaptation. The project creates a direct link between a premium PC release and one of gaming's largest UGC platforms.

The Roblox result is different from the game's Steam performance. On PC, BOMBANANA! passed one million wishlists, reached more than six million demo players before launch and sold over one million copies in its first ten days. Independent reports published on September 29 and 30, 2026, including coverage from Game*Spark, Infoseek and QQ News, repeat the figure of more than one million copies sold roughly ten days after release. On Roblox, the available figures are visits and favourites, not sales. They should not be treated as equal measures of commercial performance.

Built around communication

BOMBANANA! is a three-player online co-op party game. Three monkeys are blind, deaf and mute, with each player facing a different limit. Every player has information needed to defuse bombs before the timer runs out. Communication is the main mechanic, not an extra added to a standard party game. Game*Spark's interview with the developers also describes the project as a three-player co-op game built around monkeys with limited perception and the need for constant communication.

That setup gives the Roblox adaptation a clear purpose. A direct copy of the Steam version could have treated Roblox as another sales channel. Instead, the native redesign lets the teams fit the game to Roblox's social habits and design language. The 16 million visits show that the central co-op idea has reached beyond the original PC audience. The supplied figures do not show how many unique players took part, how long they played or how many returned.

TARK Games co-founder Ilker Ergen has described the Roblox performance as evidence that the idea works on its own terms, rather than simply extending the Steam launch. That is more useful than calling the adaptation a marketing extra. Visits show reach. Platform-specific development helps explain how the team achieved it.

What the numbers show

The reported milestones are clear: more than one million Steam copies sold in the first ten days; more than one million Steam wishlists before launch; over six million Steam demo players before release; more than 16 million visits to the official Roblox adaptation; and over 80,000 Roblox favourites. FXFX Studio runs the Roblox version with Lefto Studio and TARK Games.

The PC release arrived on September 2, 2026. The official Steam Store page lists BOMBANANA! as multiplayer, teams, online co-op and puzzle. That confirms the release date and the game's cooperative puzzle focus. Unity also included the game in its September 2026 release roundup and identified it as a Lefto Studio title released on September 2.

Game*Spark reported that the Steam version had 97% positive reviews. It also listed the Japanese price at 1,050 yen per copy. Those details place BOMBANANA! in the premium indie market rather than the free-to-play market. The review percentage gives another measure of the PC audience's response.

The source material does not provide a Roblox like rate, concurrent-player peak, unique-user count or revenue figure. It also has no independent testing of the adaptation and no comparison of the content in the Roblox and Steam versions. Those gaps do not change the visit milestone. They do set its limits: the figure shows strong reach on the platform, not the full quality of the audience or the financial return.

The cross-platform plan is the more important business detail for players and developers. TARK Games is using BOMBANANA! to test whether an independent IP can be rebuilt for a UGC-driven platform without losing its defining mechanic. A similar platform expansion was reported around another platform crossover, but BOMBANANA!'s case involves a full official adaptation rather than a limited collaboration.

Mobile release next

BOMBANANA! will arrive on the iOS App Store and Google Play Store on October 9. The announcement does not give a price, mobile hardware requirements, cross-play details, save-transfer support or an explanation of how the mobile version will differ from the Steam and Roblox releases. Players considering another platform still do not have those answers.

The game launched on Steam on September 2, 2026. Its Roblox adaptation is already running as a live product developed and maintained by FXFX Studio. TARK Games therefore has three ways to bring the same IP to players: a premium PC game, a purpose-built Roblox experience and an upcoming mobile release.

BOMBANANA!'s performance makes a strong case for adapting a game to each platform instead of porting it unchanged. The evidence supports calling the Roblox version a meaningful success in audience reach. It does not support claims of equal sales or long-term engagement with Steam. For indie publishers, the lesson is direct: a distinctive multiplayer idea can travel when its delivery is rebuilt for each platform.

Visits are not the same as unique players. One Roblox user can generate multiple visits over time. Favourites offer another sign that players chose to save the experience, but they do not show how often those players returned or whether they spent money. That keeps the milestone in proportion while leaving the main judgment intact: BOMBANANA! has found real traction across platforms, and its Roblox adaptation has drawn attention on its own terms.
