Call of Duty: Mobile Season 7 brings Terminator 2 event and new modes

Call of Duty: Mobile Season 7 - Terminated launches 5 August, introducing a Terminator 2: Judgment Day event, refreshed Nuketown map, new multiplayer and battle royale modes, and exclusive T-800 and T-1000 Operator Skins

Call of Duty: Mobile is set to launch its seventh season of 2026, titled Terminated, on 5 August. This update introduces a crossover event themed around Terminator 2: Judgment Day, alongside a range of new multiplayer and battle royale content. The season will be available globally on iOS and Android, with the update scheduled to go live at 5pm Pacific Time.

Terminator 2 Collaboration and Event Structure

The centrepiece of Season 7 is a limited-time event inspired by Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Players will be tasked with collecting Cyberdyne Tech through in-game activities, unlocking over 15 Epic-tier rewards. The event culminates in the Blackjack - Endoskeleton Operator Skin, which is awarded for completing the full set of objectives. The collaboration also brings a supersized "It Goes Two" store offer, featuring Operator Skins based on the T-800 and T-1000. Purchasing both upgrades these Operators from Epic to Legendary quality, with the added ability to swap between their two forms during matches and in the lobby. The bundle includes themed Legendary Weapon Blueprints: the HS0405 - Final Judgement for the T-800 and the BP50 - Mimetic Execution for the T-1000.

New Modes and Map Updates

Season 7 introduces two new multiplayer modes. Operator Skill Overdrive is a free-for-all competition where players collect, upgrade, and fuse Operator Skills to create custom builds. Hardpoint: Mayhem assigns each player a specialised role as teams compete for control of a fixed objective. In Battle Royale, the new Lockdown mode takes place on Rebirth Island and features respawns, rotating scoring zones, and High Value Zones that offer double points. The classic Nuketown map has also been refreshed, now featuring updated lighting, materials, and exterior details based on the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 version.

Battle Pass, Progression and Store Content

The Terminated Battle Pass leads with the introduction of the Cronen Squall Assault Rifle and the Overload Battle Royale class. Premium Pass holders can unlock additional cybernetic and resistance-themed Operator Skins and Weapon Blueprints. Throughout the season, players can participate in limited-time Arcade Event modes and earn Time Limited COD Points via COD Points Rush. The Undead Legion Series Armory adds four Weapon Blueprints inspired by ancient weaponry, and a new Cronen Squall Lucky Draw is available. Summer Sale offers and returning Battle Pass Vaults round out the store content for the season.

Release Timing and Platform Context

Call of Duty: Mobile Season 7 - Terminated is scheduled to launch on 5 August at 5pm PT, with the update rolling out simultaneously across supported regions. The event and new content are accessible to all players on iOS and Android, with no early-access period or platform exclusivity announced. For those interested in other major August releases, Shadowlight and Phoenix Games are also launching Kill the Shadow, a detective RPG, on the same date for PC via Steam, as detailed in our recent coverage of Kill the Shadow's release.

Battle passes in live-service games like Call of Duty: Mobile are structured progression systems that reward players with cosmetic items, weapons, and other unlocks as they complete in-game challenges and level up during a season. While some rewards are available to all players, premium tiers often require a paid pass for access to exclusive content. This model has become standard across many multiplayer titles, providing ongoing incentives for engagement and a recurring revenue stream for publishers.
