Wii U Will Allow For Unique Resident Evil Game

Resident Evil Revelations director Koshi Nakanishi has said that Nintendo’s upcoming console, Wii U could allow for a unique and fun Resident Evil title.

In a conversation with Official Nintendo Magazine Koshi stated:

“The Wii U certainly looks like it will enable creators to come up with all kinds of never-before-seen gameplay ideas, There are lots of things I’d like to try out on it. If I was to work on a game for the Wii U, I would definitely want to make something that couldn’t be done on any other hardware.”

“The GamePad’s separate screen enables so many possibilities, and playing on a television screen would enable sharing the experience in a way that wasn’t possible on Nintendo 3DS. I feel it would let us create a very unique and fun Resident Evil game.”

Resident Evil died with Resi 5, it was pushing it with 4 but it still managed to hold onto a shred of what made it great. Resi has turned into a third person shooter, any survival horror died long ago and that was what made the title great so a different platform isn’t going to save it unless they decided to go back to the Resi 1 and 2 formula.
