YES! YES! YES! Sorry, I had to get that out of the way. So, yeah, on the eve of the system’s launch in North America Sony and Naughty Dog unveiled Uncharted for the PS4.
We kind of knew it was coming, but it’s always nice to finally have it officially confirmed.
Not many details were revealed, but the teaser trailer hinted at the introduction of a brand new male character to the mix. He sounds angry at someone or something for being “lost for 15 years” and left “rotting in a hell hole”. Understandable. Could that someone be Mr Nathan Drake himself? I’m sure we’ll find out soon.
Here’s the official statement/description via the PlayStation Blog:
Amy, Justin, and the team are hard at work on an amazing new installment of the Uncharted series to be released exclusively on the PlayStation 4 system. Our goal is to continue what we’ve done in previous console generations and once again deliver the best in storytelling, performance capture, technical innovation and graphics on the PS4.
Christophe Balestra, co-founder of Naughty Dog, went a step further and stated “graphically you’re going to see a big jump”. Wow, we can’t wait to see it. Anyway, check out the teaser trailer below and let us know what you think. Oh and in case you’re wondering the voice behind the character in the trailer is Todd Stashwick.
