Daily Gaming News redux

That’s You!

That’s You! is available to download for free (for PSN Plus members) now!

That’s You! is a brand-new game for PlayStation 4 which utilises PlayLink platform showcased at E3 earlier this year. Instead of using a controller, in typical fashion, everything is controlled via your mobile phone. Up to 6 players can join and it’s a hell of a lot of fun, as you can see by our video below.

It was surprisingly easy to get everyone hooked up to the game, particularly as this is new tech. In fact, it was effortless. And once we were set up it was a genuine laugh from start to finish. That’s You! will definitely be the go-to game for any parties or get

The premise of the game is quite simple. You answer questions about the people playing and score points based on the majority answer. It’s not all simple questions though. The game truly shines during the drawing mode which lets you scribble over a photo using the in-game art tools. You can really let your artistic talent flair, or, plaster comedy penises all over the place. You’d be a fool not to give this a go. As said previously, it’s free for PSNPluss members now so get to it!

LEGO NINJAGO Movie Game

Late last week it was announced that a new LEGO NINJAGO Movie game was being developed for Xbox One, PS4, PC & Nintendo Switch.

The game looks to shake up the LEGO game genre somewhat, focusing more on arena-type battles more so than the traditional level-based gameplay. LEGO NINJAGO will feature 8 large action-packed locations plucked straight from the movie and pits players against waves of enemies. Rather than your typical horde mode, however, LEGO NINJAGO is far less confined and offers more breadth. Players will have to master Ninjability including high-jumping and wall-running.

Each area will also feature Challenge Dojos which allow players to master their Ninja combat skills against ever increasing in difficulty waves of enemies. Battle Maps are also part of the mix allowing 4-players to play competitively via local split-screen multiplayer.

LEGO NINJAGO releases 6th October this year on Xbox One, PS4, PC & Nintendo Switch.

Crash Bandicoot Remastered

Crash Bandicoot returned to PlayStation of Friday with the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. The package contains complete, from the ground up, remasters of the three original PlayStation games; Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back & Crash Bandicoot (3): Warped.

The game has been positively received from both fans of the series and newcomers alike and has topped the UK game sales chart. Not only has it topped the chart but it’s also taken the crown of the best-selling single-platform title of this year, beating Horizon: Zero Dawn. There’s no denying that people want to play Crash so maybe we’ll see CTR following soon?

Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC

The first batch of Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC launched last week including a load of cool content.

Owners of the DLC will be able to snag a bunch of new armour of Link to wear, a new Trial of the Sword challenge which unlocks a permanent upgrade for the master sword. There’s also Hero’s Path which adds a handy path overlay on the map showing you where you’ve travelled over the last 200 hours, perfect for tidying up the hidden collectables. Master Mode (aka Hard Mode) has also been introduced should you want to really challenge yourself.

Bayonetta coming to Nintendo Switch?

The rumour mill has been working overtime since a tweet by Platinum Games was released yesterday. The tweet simply contained an image of Bayonetta 1 and 2 artwork set on blue and red background. Blue and red, eh? Well, this has sparked debate as to whether this is actually a tease for both games coming to Nintendo Switch on account of the joycons sharing a similar colour. It could, of course, be reference to each game’s logo but that could be a bit tenuous. I’m sure we’ll hear more moving forward. In fact, why not keep checking back for news regarding the release?
